Here is the $64,000 dollar question. Can you prevent getting dementia? Maybe not, but many experts agree that you can reduce the possibility of developing dementia by minimizing the risk factors. There are nine risk factors linked to the development of dementia. They are mental inactivity, lack of sufficient physical activity, lack of social engagement, hearing loss, hypertension, smoking, obesity, depression and diabetes.
